Unboxing & First Impressions
Packaging
I’d heard about the release of the new model – the Pulse Solo Interactive – and was keen to test out the upgrade. My Solo Lux was already pretty awesome, but I had to upgrade because I was a huge fan of interactive sex toys.
Within about a week, my toy arrived on my doorstep. I was really excited to get it out, hurry along with some unboxing content for you guys, and then get some private time with my new toy.
The packaging the toy arrived in was discreet – just your standard cardboard box parcel.
Perhaps Hot Octopuss could take some advice from Kiiroo on packaging products in an excellent way. Kiiroo products like the Onyx+ are always immaculately packaged; to me, it shows they care about the customer and their brand. Hot Octopuss, on the other hand, uses fairly cheap-looking packaging that takes away from the quality of the Hot Octopuss products.
Inside the box, I got the slick-looking Solo Interactive, a USB charging cable, a manual, and a silk pouch for storage and travel. The bag is a nice touch, especially with the black rubber tending to attract dust easily.
Design
I was keen to test the Pulse Solo Interactive and compare it to my other model. As soon as it arrived, I headed straight to the bedroom to get a feel for the toy and set it up with WiFi and Bluetooth.
IT FELT GOOD when I took the Interactive out of the box and held it in my hands. The silicone was soft and velvet-like. The toy was black, sleek, and compact in size, and the buttons looked intuitive and easy to use. Nothing about it looked like it was fragile or easy to break. I tried the power button but was disappointed it needed charging before anything.
Nevermind. I should have been working anyway, so I slipped the toy on charge and returned to my responsibilities.
The charging was a little confusing. I worked out in the end that the LED light turns blue when the device is charging and red when fully charged. Most of my toys are the other way around, which was a little confusing.
After a couple of hours of charging, I could turn it on and go through the vibration patterns (more on this later!). Everything felt very much like my old Lux.
Surprisingly, connecting the Interactive with WiFi and Bluetooth on my phone was not that difficult. My phone (iPhone XS) instantly recognized the device, and within a few minutes, I paired it with the FeelConnect app (Available in the iTunes and Google Play store). This smartphone app allows you to control the Interactive features from your phone, and you can connect to other Interactive toys in the app, but that did look a little more involved.

Pulse Plate Technology
Hot Octopuss developed this thing called PulsePlate Technology, and they’ve trademarked it because it has been such a hit with guys from all over the globe. The tech means there’s no need to stroke.
By all means, you can move the toy up and down your shaft, but I encourage you to try and rest it on your perineum, relax a little and let the PulsePlate vibes do their thing.
This little vibrating plate sends incredible sensations through your dick and can give you great hands-free orgasms, but it takes a little more time than the old death grip stroke action you’re probably used to.

In addition to that – and the main reason I was so keen to upgrade – it syncs with interactive content. You can now fully immerse yourself in some pretty hot adult films. My Personal Experience
After waiting for my Pulse Solo Interactive to charge up, I was itching with anticipation and excitement. You know when you can’t do something and want to do it even more because you can’t. That’s exactly how I felt, and finally, with the toy fully charged, I was ready to test it out.

I am definitely happy with Pulse Solo Interactive, even though I already own Pulse Solo Lux. The upgrade of tech, thanks to Kiiroo, has made me love this toy even more. And it’s great that my partner can now get involved in the action.
For me, the way the Interactive connects with interactive porn is pretty incredible, and I’ve seriously enjoyed exploring what’s on offer. Cleaning and Maintenance
Being waterproof, the Pulse Solo Interactive is so easy to clean. After a fun session, you can rinse the toy with warm water and mild soap. I let my toy drip dry, but if you pat your toy down, make sure you use a clean towel or washer, so you don’t spread any unwanted bacteria or nasties over the toy’s surface area. White towels may also leave a lot of little white fluff on the rubber.
Once dry, I put the Interactive into the little silk pouch it came with and into my poor bedside drawer (which has seen all kinds of unmentionable behavior over the years).
