Let’s talk about the design next. The little device has the iconic old-school magic wand look (evident in the image below). The outdated build means it won’t be the prettiest in your sex toy collection. However, what the wand lacks in looks, it makes up in its astounding power. The review panel loved the flexible neck (you can see me testing it in the image below). It was highly supple, making it easy to squeeze into tight spots without discomfort. We tried different sex positions, and the flexible neck came in handy, making each pleasant.

The build quality was phenomenal too. Unlike the original Magic Wand, which was made of porous material, the designers used high-quality silicone material on the Mini model. Besides making the product durable, the silicone simplifies the user experience by making cleaning and overall maintenance straightforward. In addition, the sturdy ABS plastic on the body. It felt stiff on the palm, and we didn’t have doubts about the durability.

Something else that stood out during our testing was the ease of use. The wand’s small size (4.5″ long) made it easy to hold it in the palm. “Unlike the original magic wand, I could use the Mini for extended sessions without a sore arm,” says Sandra Larson. “The lightweight build from the small size made it extremely easy to use.”

To nobody’s surprise, Micro wasn’t near the top when it came to versatility. The smaller size means you can’t use the regular-sized attachments, plus, being not waterproof also limits where you can use it. However, it offered strong vibrations for its size, and the knobby head meant it was ideal for different pleasure zones, including the nipples, inner thighs, or your partner’s balls. The battery life was a point of concern. The manual didn’t estimate how long the toy would last, but it took about one hour and twenty minutes on the lowest setting to deplete the power. However, a full charge took over two hours, making the charge-to-use ratio a bit disappointing.

We tested the noise to ensure we gave our readers every bit of information to simplify their decision-making. The sound level was on the quiet side, and the toy was more discreet than most cheap toys we reviewed. Notably, it got quieter when positioned correctly against the clitoris, and even at the higher settings, the noise was relatively low.

Minor issues we found during testing:

Things can get slippery, especially with the primarily ABS plastic body. We found it helpful to have a rag nearby so you can wipe off the excess lube and keep the toy dry enough so you can maintain control during masturbation.

Let’s talk about the innovative Pleasure Air technology next. Unlike the traditional vibrations, the rose toy used extremely gentle yet impactful waves to stimulate the user’s clitoris. We found the suction perfect for people who find vibrations too intense for their sensitive clitoris.

Among the multiple factors that drew us closer to the Lovehoney Thrill Seeker, its affordability was the highlight of the review. The small vibe costs between $23.99 and $44.99 depending on whether Lovehoney is running a promotion, an affordable price for the well-designed piece.

The review panel highlighted how the Thrill Seeker’s stimulations were quite good and more potent than most of the egg vibrators we reviewed. “I didn’t come in expecting wand-like vibrations, but the egg proved to be a force to reckon,” says Rachel Sommer. “Experienced folks might find it underwhelming, but regular users will enjoy the bliss.”

Luckily, Desire Luxury had a wide range of possibilities: the 10 vibration patterns and 6 speeds made exploring through each one fun. It also had the bonus of gradual acclimatization to explosive external orgasms.

Let’s move on to the design next. Unlike other Lovehoney products, it had a basic concept, with a primarily ABS plastic body (you can see it in the image below). We didn’t have major complaints with the build, but a more beginner-friendly material like silicone would have been better, especially around the tip.

Note: Unfortunately, the retrieval cord felt flimsy and cheap. In addition, you must unscrew the product in the middle to change the batteries, and the seam can be a hub for bacteria, making cleaning more tedious and time-consuming.

There’s nothing much to write about the build quality. While the ABS plastic felt stiff and durable, the toy looked a bit cheap, and the all-plastic body didn’t help with the aesthetics. We’re sure the company used ABS to cut costs, but there was a strong feeling including silicone would have significantly improved the outlook.

Once set up, using the egg was straightforward. Unlike the other product we reviewed, it came with a convenient remote control (image above), making it easy to regulate the vibration patterns and speeds. The easy-press buttons felt great, and the grippy surface helped with handling whenever the hands got slippery from the lube. Surprisingly, the remote controller didn’t have a power on and off button, meaning we couldn’t explore the pleasures of public play.

Minor issues we found during testing:

Unfortunately, the vibrator was noisy, and the rumbles will travel past your room’s walls. The noise meter clocked 75 decibels, which is considerably high for the small-sized model.

In addition, the egg vibrator didn’t have a rechargeable battery. The toy and remote controller used disposable batteries, meaning we needed to have a pack of AAA and CR 2032 batteries with us everywhere we went.

As stressed before, you must unscrew the product in the middle to change the batteries. The ridge created a seam that could harbor bacteria, making cleaning tedious and time-consuming.

Something else about the design that was well thought out was the flaring around the base. It tucks in between the ass cheeks and gives you the confidence to carry on with anal play without worrying about accidental visits to the ER.
